In 1968, Dr. Dat-Minh Do fled Vietnam with nothing but the clothes on his back and a dream for a better life. Facing unimaginable challenges — including thieves, pirates, and a harrowing journey with little access to food or water — he persevered, driven by the hope of building a brighter future for his family.

When he arrived in America, he started from scratch. To make ends meet, he sold T-shirts on the street while studying tirelessly to obtain his dental license in English — his fifth language, after Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Chiu Chow. Learning English was no small feat, but Dr. Do was determined to achieve his dream of becoming a dentist.

In 1985, he and our mother opened their own private dental practice. With just the two of them, they worked long hours, building the practice from the ground up through dedication, integrity, and word-of-mouth referrals from loyal patients. Their philosophy was simple but powerful: treat every patient like family, focus on prevention, and provide compassionate, high-quality care.

As children, Dr. Christine and Dr. Stephanie grew up immersed in this environment — helping out at the office and learning firsthand the value of hard work and the joy of caring for others. Inspired by our father’s passion and commitment to continual learning, we now carry on his legacy, blending modern techniques with the same core values that shaped the foundation of our family’s practice.

Our mission remains unchanged: to deliver personalized, preventative, and expert dental care — just as we would for our own family.
